R&B singer Lyfe Jennings was sentenced to 3 & half years in prison yesterday, Cobb County, Ga. The 37-year-old's troubles stemmed from an arrest in Oct. 2008 .

On the heels of releasing best album of the entire career R&B singer Lyfe Jennings has reached a conclusion to the altercation that took place with his girlfriend and mother of his child Joy Pound in 2008 landing him into prison for three years on Wednesday in Atlanta.

According to reports on the night of confrontation Lyfe Jennings kicked into the door of a house where his girlfriend was and shot off rounds from a 4.0 caliber firearm in the streets as he was leaving her house.

Police located Lyfe Jennings about 70 miles from the house and gave him multiple signs to stop which he shunned perpetually. However, later he was stopped by the cops but he did not agree to undergo a sobriety test.

Lyfe Jennings has been sentenced to three years of prison under multiple charges of misdemeanor criminal trespass, discharging a firearm, felony possession of firearm as well as fleeing as well as attempting to elude a police officer in Georgia.
