Paris Hilton has been arrested on a cocaine charge in Las Vegas. Police say the hotel heiress was arrested for possession of cocaine after officers stopped the car she was travelling in outside the Wynn hotel late on Friday night.
That car, a black Cadillac Escalade, was driven by Hilton's boyfriend Cy Waits, who was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
A spokesman says officers stopped the vehicle when they noticed what they suspected to be marijuana smoke coming from it. During an inspection of the car, cops found what appeared to be a controlled substance on Hilton and tests showed that it was cocaine. She was booked into the Clark County Detention Centre early on Saturday morning on one charge of possession of cocaine. Hilton was released on her own recognizance shortly after 2am local time.
